The Nuremberg Raid
TUESDAY, 12th March 2024 AT 19:30
In World War 2 Nuremberg was singled out by the Allies as an important target due to its position as a strong economic and infrastructural hub as well as symbolic importance as the "City of the Nuremberg Rally".
The greatest damage occurred from the attack on 2 January 1945 in which 521 British Bombers dropped 6,000 high-explosive bombs and one million incendiary devices on the city.
Stuart Hadaway, Research and Information Manager at AHB(RAF,) is our speaker.
